This error can have several causes:
- There is a ' in the user name. This puts a ' in the path to the temp directory and Crystal Reports can't handle it properly. The solution is to either log on as a user without a ' or to change the temp directory location to one that does not have a ' in the path. Temp location can be modified by right-clicking on 'My Computer' > Properties>Advanced System Settings>Environment Variables.
- Change the location of the variables TEMP and TMP to another temp directory. There are too many temp files. Empty the temp directory. This can be done easily by opening windows explorer>right mouse click on the C drive>Properties>Disk cleanup, select temporary files there and click OK.
